I am a living testimony of how God can take the foolish things of this world to confound the wise (I Corinthians 1:27) . At the age of thirteen I chose to walk the path that led to drugs and alcohol. This led me to a downward spiral of hopelessness that the drug no longer filled. At the age of twenty-one I met a girl, who later became my wife, who was raised in a Christian home but was not living it. She became pregnant and we decided to get married.
After having our daughter, God began to show me how much He loved me through her. I began to see the father’s heart for his child. I could no longer take her down a path of hopelessness and I realized that my sin was affecting her as well. At that time the Lord began to reveal to me that “while we were still sinners Jesus Christ, God’s Son, died for me” (Romans 5:8). What an amazing and awesome thing to know that God allowed His Son to die for me…so I cried out. “For whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13)”. I am now serving at Harvest Chapel as the Worship Leader and in Radio Ministry. The Lord can truly use anyone as long as they surrender their life to Him.
